Still from his 1953 film, Thérèse Raquin, which featured Duby as Camille Raquin and starred Simone Signoret and Raf Vallone. The film was released in the U.S. as The Adultress. Caption at lower margin imprinted in French. Duby had made his film debut a year earlier in Trois Femmes (Three Woman).French stage, screen and television star Jacques Duby (born in 1922) began his career on the stage, appearing in a number of plays before he made his film debut in 1952. In a career that spanned over five decades, Duby appeared on the big screen in several French and English-language films, but he was primarily known for his stage and television roles (Duby appeared in over forty made-for-TV movies and series). Many of his fans feel that Duby could have been one of France's greatest film stars, but Duby preferred the stage over the screen. He was last seen on the big screen in the 2003 French film, Je Reste! Encapsulated. Minor surface scratches and smudges on mylar. Fine condition.
