Addressed to Mr. Carson C. Hathaway, Silver Spring, Maryland. In full: "Dear Mr. Hathaway: Thank you for your letter of November 1st relative to my appearance on Meet the Press television program. It was very kind of you not only to watch it but to take the time and trouble to write me about it. You were particularly generous in your reference to me and I hope I shall always be able to carry on in a manner that will meet with your approval. As soon as I receive reprints of the program I shall send you on. With best wishes, Sincerely yours,". Farley (1888-1976) was Postmaster General under Franklin D.
