While his later novels, such as Centennial (1974), Chesapeake (1978), and Space (1982) focused on American themes, his tales of foreign settings mesmerized readers. His most famous work, Tales of the South Pacific, won the 1948 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction and was made into the Tony Award-winning play and Oscar-winning film, South Pacific. Fine condition.
