margin.James "Bone Crusher" Smith scored a first round knockout of
Tim Witherspoon to win the WBA heavyweight title in 1986, but lost the crown the
next year to Mike Tyson by decision. He had fought undefeated Larry Holmes in a
tough battled for the IBF crown in 1984, losing in the twelfth round by TKO.
After retiring from the ring with a 44-17-1 record (32 knockouts), Smith became
an ordained minister, pledging to devote his life to helping street kids stay
off drugs. Lightly creased at corners. Otherwise, fine
condition.
