photograph, affixed to 6x3¾ card. James Bruce (1892-1980) was an American
politician and diplomat from Baltimore, Maryland, but is most well known for
being the United States Ambassador to Argentina. He worked as the
Director of American Airlines earlier in his career, and also as Vice
President of the National Dairy Products Corporation. Bruce served as
Ambassador from 1947 to 1949 and then as the director of the Foreign Military
Assistance Program (forerunner of NATO). Slightly soiled. Edges lightly
worn. Newspaper clipping on verso, no show-through.
