Autograph Letter signed: "James Bush", 1 page, 7x10½. No place, July 2, 1936. Written to "Hello Dear Mark". In full: "-I'd say you had some organization - go to it - you certainly have everything- Just finished - heavy in M'Liss with Anne Shirley - & June - lead with Tom Keene in Glory Trail - next another at R.K.O - First started in pictures - at six - until 10 - finish high school at 15 - went on stage until -21- be 24 in Oct the 14th- Will write more later- Regards" American actor James Bush (1907-1987) was born in Greenfield, Ohio. A film actor for over two decades, he is best remembered for his roles in Topa Topa (1938), You Can't Cheat an Honest Man(1939), Gone With the Wind (1939), King of the Cowboys (1943),Call of the Jungle (1944) and The Beginning or the End (1947). Bush also appeared in three Laurel and Hardy films A-Haunting We Will Go (1942), Jitterbugs (1943) and The Big Noise (1944). His television credits include The Adventures of Kit Carlson (1951), Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok (1951) and Dragnet (1954). In this letter, Bush talks about starring alongside Anne Shirley in the 1936 film M'Liss and with Tom Keene in the 1936 film The Glory Trail. Multiple mailing folds. Notches at right edge. Toned.
