black ink, 4½x1½. Democrat James D. Richardson (1843-1914) was an
American politician and Representative for Tennessee from 1885 to 1905.
Richardson served for the Confederates during the American Civil War,
later studying and practicing law in 1867. He was elected to the Tennessee
House of Representatives and then to Tennessee Senate before serving as
Representative, retiring from politics completely in 1905. During his time
as a representative, Richardson helped compile "Messages and Papers of the
Presidents", a collection of pieces containing every single important
document from the federal Government. Corners slightly worn. Fine condition.
