best known for playing Lieutenant Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott in the
Star Trek TV series and feature films. Doohan won his audition for
the part by reading in a heavy Scottish brogue, and his character was named in
his honor (Montgomery is his middle name). Doohan appeared as the Chief
Engineer in the original series (1966-1969) and in seven feature films:
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979), Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan
(1982), Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984), Star Trek IV: The
Voyage Home (1986), Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989), Star
Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) and Star Trek: Generations
(1994). He also appeared as Scotty on a TV spin-off, Star Trek: The
Next Generation (1992,) and was seen in archival footage in Star Trek:
Deep Space Nine (1996). Doohan, who has also lent his voice to animated
Star Trek series, also appeared in futuristic roles in the TV series
Space Command (1953) and Jason of Star Command (1979-1980), and he
has guested on a long list of TV shows and appeared in feature films. Image
slightly grainy. Slightly creased. Right edge frayed where page was removed from
