In the year he appeared in this film, Franciscus was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor (TV) for his role as high school teacher John Novak in the TV series, Mr. Novak. American actor Franciscus (1934-1991) starred in several TV series, most notably Naked City (1958-1963), Mr. Novak (in which he played a young high school teacher, 1963-1965) and Longstreet (1971-1972). In 1964, Franciscus was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor (TV) for his performance as John Novak in Mr. Novak. His feature film credits include The Outsider (1961), Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970) and the voice the title character in Jonathan Livingston Seagull (1973). Red smudge above writing from removal of inscription. Ink has lightly spread. Slightly creased at blank margins. Minor surface creases (not evident head on), 1 at Pleshette's nose. Fine condition.
