signed in black ink"To Eliz/We Love You/Mrs. James
Brown/Adrienne/God Bless". Ink note (unknown hand) on verso: "James &
Adrenne Brown/11-4-86". JAMES BROWN (1933-2006), whose hits include
"Please, Please, Please", "Try Me", "Good Good Lovin'", "Night Train" and
"Papa's Got a Brand New Bag", was among the first inductees of the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame (1986). He won Grammy Awards in 1965 for "Papa's Got a Brand
New Bag" and 1987 for "Living in America" as well as a lifetime achievement
Grammy in 1992. Brown was married to his third wife, ADRIENNE BROWN,
from 1984 until her death in 1996. Fine condition.
