JIMMY STEWART CO-SIGNED BY: GLENN FORD
B/w photograph from the 1987 Paramount Pictures reunion, Winger and Stewart are shown with 36 other entertainers.
Photograph signed: "Jimmy Stewart" and "Glenn Ford", B/w 10x8. Photograph from Paramount Pictures 1987 reunion. Many of Hollywood's big names are shown in the photograph including Glenn Ford, Jimmy Stewart, Harrison Ford, Danny Devito, Tom Cruise, Charlton Heston, Robert DeNiro, Charles Bronson, Ted Danson, Robin Williams and Mathew Broderick along with many others. Ford (1916-2006) played diverse roles, including dark characters (The Blackboard Jungle and Ransom, both released in 1955), romantic leading men (Teahouse of the August Moon, 1956; The Gazebo, 1959) and rugged western heroes (The Desperados, 1943; The Sheepman, 1958; Cimarron, 1960). In 1958, Ford was voted the number one male box-office attraction, and remained popular long after the studio system that "created" him had collapsed. Later in his career, he appeared on television as well as appearing in feature films, including Superman: The Movie (1978).Jimmy Stewart (1908-1997, born in Indiana, Pennsylvania) starred in more recognized masterpieces of the American cinema than any other actor. In 1940, he won the Best Actor Academy Award for The Philadelphia Story, and he was nominated for Oscars in the same category for Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), It's A Wonderful Life (1946), Harvey (1950) and Anatomy of a Murder (1959). Stewart, who was awarded an Honorary Academy Award in 1984, also appeared in You Can't Take It With You (1938), Destry Rides Again (1939), The Greatest Show on Earth (1952), Rear Window (1954), The Spirit of St. Louis (1957), Vertigo (1958) and a long list of other features.
