JAMES MASON and PAMELA MASON
James Mason and Pamela Mason sign a U.S. Internal Revenue Service, Gift Tax Return for 1955
document on April 16, 1956.
Document signed: "James Mason" and "Pamela Mason", 1p, 8½x11. Beverly Hills, California, 1956 April 16. U.S. Internal Revenue Service, Gift Tax Return for 1955. James Mason signs as spouse of Pamela Mason, also signing, who reports that she has transferred a sum exceeding $3,000 into a trust. No tax is due on the transfer. English actor JAMES MASON (1909-1984) earned Oscar nominations for A Star Is Born (1954), Georgy Girl (1966) and The Verdict (1982). Whether playing Brutus (Julius Caesar, 1953), a master spy (North By Northwest, 1959) or a pedophile (Lolita, 1962), Mason could be counted on for a strong performance. In 1939, a husband and wife screenwriting team, Roy and Pamela Kellino, wrote and produced the film I Met a Murderer, which Roy also directed, casting James Mason opposite his wife in the starring roles. This proved unwise. In 1941, Pamela divorced Roy and married Mason. As PAMELA MASON (1922-1996), she wrote three subsequent film scripts, co-starring in all three with husband Mason, including Charade (1953). After her divorce from Mason (1964), she made a few more films and had a syndicated film review column. Staple holes on left side. IRS stamps, not near signatures. Slightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
