The American singer and his pianist accompaniment signed this program for
a performance for the Community Concert Association
Program Signed: “James Pease” and “Oscar Eiermann”. 6¼x9½. Four pages.
JAMES PEASE (1916-1967) graduated from law school at Indiana University,
but chose to brush up on his singing abilities at the Academy of Vocal Arts.
He debuted at the Philadelphia Opera Company. In 1943, he was called to serve
in the military. He was a pilot based in Texas. Following the war, he restarted
his singing career and performed at the Royal Opera House and the New
York City Center Theatre. OSCAR EIERMANN (born circa 1908) was an
organist and pianist who attended the Curtis Institute of Music. He frequently
travelled with singers. He served as a conductor and music director various
theaters and schools in the Philadelphia area. Toned. Tape stains on verso.
