from letter. James Roosevelt (1907-1991), the son of President Franklin
Roosevelt, organized an insurance firm in Boston, became a secretary to his
father and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps through WWII (1940-1945). He
represented California in the U.S. Congress from 1955-1965. After a year
as U.S. representative with the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural
Organization, Roosevelt returned to the private sector as a public relations
consultant. Irregularly cut. The "e" of James slightly smudged. Vertical fold
touches the "R" of signature. Fine condition.
