Signed on verso of a promotional photo showing Maxwell on stage with Fred Applegate in a production of The Sound of Music. Ink note (unknown hand) dates receipt of the signature 2/15/99. Jan Maxwell (b. 1956) has appeared on Broadway stages for over twenty years. After making her Broadway debut in City of Angels (1989-2002), she earned six Drama Desk Award nominations, won two Drama Desk Awards and has been nominated for five Tony Awards for her performances in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2005), Coram Boy (2007), Lend Me a Tenor (2010), The Royal Family (2010) and Follies (2012). Her television credits include recurring roles on All My Children (2007), One Life to Live (2009) and Gossip Girl (2009, 2011). She portrayed Elsa Schrader in this revival of The Sound of Music. Sticker affixed, with ink note (unknown hand), not affecting signature. Otherwise, fine condition.
