Actor, screenwriter, and author Jan Merlin (1925-2019) has been involved in film and acting for over fifty years. After serving in the Navy throughout World War II, he began acting right away, first in summer stock, and later making his Broadway debut in Mister Roberts (1949) alongside Henry Fonda. His acting when on to include on and off Broadway stage plays, radio dramas, several hundreds of live and filmed episodes of television series, and more than thirty feature motion pictures. Merlin is best known for his roles in the television series Tom Corbett, Space Cadet (1950-1953) and The Rough Riders (1959), as well as his films Screaming Eagles (1956) and Take the Money and Run (1969). He received an Emmy Award in 1975 for his scripting of the soap opera Another World, was nominated again the following year, and published his first of many novels in 1982. Merlin was also awarded a Golden Halo Award for his work as actor and writer form the Southern California Motion Picture Council in 2009. Rounded throughout. Frayed in left margin on verso.
