American actress Jane Bryan (1918-2009) seemed bound for stardom after major
roles in films of the late 1930s, including Marked Woman, A Slight
Case of Murder and Each Dawn I Die. Instead, she married drugstore magnate
Justin Dart in 1939 and retired from films. The Darts, staunch Republicans,
were among the first to urge friend Ronald Reagan to run for President. Jane
Bryan Dart served on the US Fine Arts Commission (1971-1976). Saul Goodman
(1919-2003), a New York business man by day, pursued his love of film and
theatre in the evening, making friends with many celebrities. While other
autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman presented stars with snazzy
photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen. Corners worn and
creased. Otherwise, Fine condition.
