historical romances
Signature: "Miss Jane Porter/Priory", 4x1¼. English-born author
Jane Porter (1776-1850),raised in Scotland, wrote historical romances,

illustrations by N. C. Wyeth. The Priory of Blantyre figures prominently in
Porter's novel. Porter's other works, all inspired by medieval European history,
included Duke Christian of Luneburg and Thaddeus of Warsaw. Toned.
