RUSSELL (1921-2011), cast in The Outlaws in 1941 after a much publicized Hughes search for a busty actress, surpassed her bombshell image to perform skillfully in films for three decades. Best remembered for her role in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) opposite Marilyn Monroe, Russell also appeared in a number of comedies, including The Paleface (1948) and Road to Bali (1952) with Bob Hope. She also made several guest appearances on television, her last being on an episode of Hunter in 1986. In 1952, she founded the World Adoption International Fund (WAIF), a group which eventually facilitated more than 51,000 adoptions. Unable to have children, Russell also championed the Federal Orphan Adoption Amendment of 1953. She advertised bras on television in the 1970s. BRINKLEY (1920-2003) co-anchored NBC's evening news program for a quarter century, first with Chet Huntley (1956-1970), then with John Chancellor (1970-1981). He later hosted This Week With David Brinkley on ABC (1982-1997). Four pinhead sized holes where page was attached to an album. Ink notes (unknown hand). Otherwise, fine condition
