A guest sheet bearing six signatures, including the signatures of journalist Jane Tunstall Lingdo, Vice Admiral Leslie C. Stevens, and his wife Nell. Extremely rare!
Signature: "Jane Tunstall Lingo", "LCStevens R. Adm. U.S.N.", "Nell Millikin Stevens", 9½x7½. These signers, while present, have no information available: "Robert Boone Stewart", "George Earle Stewart", "Bill O'Brien". JANE TUNSTALL LINGO (1924-2007) was a pioneering journalist and a socialite known for her long-term employment with George Washington University. A close friend to Margaret Truman, Lingo began getting involved in several volunteering and humanitarian works during her youth, and ended up traveling the world for over a decade. She volunteered for the Red Cross during World War II, translating letters and dressing wounds of soldiers, and helped organize special events with the USO. After volunteering for a large portion of her life, Lingo went to work at her alma mater of George Washington University, working as a staff writer for the Office of University Relations. She remained at the university from 1956 until her death in 2007. LESLIE C. STEVENS (1895-1956) was an officer in the United States Navy, retiring at the rank of Vice Admiral. Him and his wife, NELL MILLIKIN STEVENS (1892-1985), are the parents to Outer Limits creator Leslie Stevens. Heavily toned. Left edge notched and frayed. Ink notes (unknown hand). Adhesive residue on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
