songwriter, actor Jane Wiedlin (born 1958) fell into the punk scene in
the mid 1970's, co-founded (together with Belinda Carlisle) The Go-Go's -
writing or co-writing most of their songs. Appearing on the cover of
Rolling Stone, The Go-Go's sold out Madison Square Garden and the
Hollywood Bowl. After the group split-up, Wiedlin's solo career included six
albums and movie appearances (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure,
Clue, and voice work in King of the Hill, Pinky and the
Brain and two Scooby Doo movies.).She wrote But for the
Grace of God - the song that launched Keith Urban to superstar status. After
spending 3 years in the jungles of Central America, she wrote a book This
Godforsaken Paradise about her adventures. The Go-Go's reunited and are
still together and performing. Wiedlin is collaborating on a comic book (Lady
Robotika) with Bill Morrison and she became an ordained moister in 2009 -
performing weddings and reaffirmation ceremonies. Fine condition.
