JANE WYATT
Standard AFTRA contract for Wyatt to appear on The Bell Telephone Hour on Christmas Eve 1963
Carbon Partly Printed DS: "Jane Wyatt"/[telephone no]" in ink as Performer and initialed: "J.W." six times at amendments on pages 11, 12 and 16, 16p, 8½x11. New York, N.Y., 1963 July 31. Wyatt is hired to appear as a principal performer on TV's Bell Telephone Hour on December 24, 1963 for $10,000. Also signed and initialed by an Assistant Secretary for Henry Jaffe Enterprises, Inc., the producer of the program. Stage, screen and television actress Jane Wyatt (1910-2006) had an established film career dating back to the 1930s (Lost Horizon, 1937; Boomerang, 1947). She is best known, however, for her role as the popular wife and mother on TV's Father Knows Best (1954-1962), for which she won three Emmy Awards. Wyatt's later roles included Spock's mother on the Star Trek TV series and in the feature film, Star Trek IV (1986). Ink lightly smudged at the "J" in Jane and the first letter in her telephone number. Lightly creased and soiled. Stapled at upper left corners. Ink stamps, not at signatures, on front page. Overall, fine condition.
