Partly Printed Document Signed: "Jane Wyman", 1p, 8½x5½. No place, 1959 February 10. In letter form to 20th Century Fox Film Corp. Begins: "Gentlemen". In full: "You are hereby notified that I have authorized M C A Artists, Ltd., to accept delivery of any and all checks and/or sums of money which may from time to time be or become payable to me from you; and I hereby authorize you to deliver such checks and/or sums of money to said M C A Artists, Ltd. This authorization shall remain in effect until written notice of the revocation thereof, executed and acknowledged by me, shall be served upon you by registered mail. I hereby agree to indemnify and save you free and harmless of and from any and all loss, cost or expenses which may be incurred or suffered by you by reason of an action taken by you in reliance upon this authorization. Yours very truly". In 1959, the actress appeared in the feature film, Holiday for Lovers; she would be seen in Pollyanna the following year. Actress Jane Wyman (1917-2007) was married to future U.S. President Ronald Reagan from 1940 to 1948. Emerging as a major film star with The Lost Weekend (1945), she won the Oscar for Best Actress in Johnny Belinda (1948), and was nominated for the same award for The Yearling (1946), The Blue Veil (1951) and The Magnificent Obsession (1954). She hosted a twice Emmy-nominated dramatic anthology on TV, The Jane Wyman Show (1955-1958), and returned to the small screen as the ruthless Angela Channing in Falcon Crest (1981-1990). Lightly creased with folds, light vertical fold at the "n" of Wyman. Receipt stamp at lower right corner touches the "n" of Wyman. Ink notes (unknown hand) at upper left corner and lower left margin. 2 file holes at upper blank margin, ½-inch tears above each. Lower left blank corner torn off. Overall, fine condition.
