Contract in letter form from Warner Bros. to Wyman, approved and accepted by her. In part: "We now propose to enter into an agreement with Robert Riskin Productions...loaning your services to Riskin for the role of 'Mary Peterman' in the motion picture tentatively entitled 'MAGIC TOWN'...." Magic Town, written by Riskin, costarred James Stewart. Actress Jane Wyman (1917-2007, born Sarah Jane Fulks) was married to future U.S. President Ronald Reagan from 1940 to 1948, and was the mother of his children Michael and Maureen. Emerging as a major film star with The Lost Weekend (1945), she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Johnny Belinda (1948), and was nominated for Best Actress Oscar for The Yearling (1946), The Blue Veil (1951) and The Magnificent Obsession (1954). She hosted a twice Emmy-nominated dramatic anthology on TV, The Jane Wyman Show (1955-1958), and returned to the small screen as the ruthless Angela Channing on the series, Falcon Crest (1981-1990).
