Photograph signed: "Janis/Ian". Color, 8x10. In a career alternating periods of musical creativity with periods of withdrawal from the limelight, Ian has consistently broached controversial topics: domestic abuse, homelessness, prostitution and the Holocaust. In her 1993 album Breaking Silence she sang about her own lesbianism for the first time. Ian won a Grammy for "At Seventeen" (1975). Caption at lower blank margin. Fine condition.
