Typed Letter Signed: "Jay Livingston", ¼p, 5½x8½. No place,
1990 December 12. On his personal imprinted letterhead to George Wilson.
In full: "I found the enclosed (not present) when I was
cleaning up my office. I'm sorry for the delay." American composer Jay
Livingston (1915-2001) won Academy Awards for Mona Lisa,
Buttons and Bows (The Paleface, 1948), and Que Será Será
(The Man Who Knew Too Much, 1956) and was nominated for an Oscar
for Tammy (Tammy and the Bachelor, 1957). In addition to his songs
for Hollywood films, Livingston penned many popular television themes,
including those for Bonanza and Mr. Ed. Fine
condition.
