Jay Stewart (1918-1989) was an American television and radio personality best known for his work on popular game shows. He then moved to Los Angeles where he became the host of NBC radio's It Pays to Be Married (1953), Town Hall Party (1952-1962) and daytime television program The Mike Douglas Show (1978). While a he provided a well known voice to the airwaves, Stewart was best known for his work on Let's Make a Deal (1964-1977) and Sale of the Century. After his time spent announcing on Sale of the Century, Stewart left the show (1988), and went on to what would be his final announcing position, replacing Johnny Gilbert on Blackout (1988), for the show's final two weeks.
