has hand addressed
Autograph Note signed: "Jean Kerr", 5¼x3½ personalized post
card, addressed in her hand on verso to Mr. Frank M. Clements, Wakefield,
Massachusetts, postmarked Larchmont, New York, June 26, 1961. In full:
"This is an autograph and it comes with all good wishes from". Jean
Kerr (1922-2003) wrote Please Don't Eat the Daisies (1957), a
popular humorous novel about a suburban family. She also wrote plays, most
notably the Tony-winning King of Hearts (1954), and Mary, Mary
(1961). The latter ran for 1,572 performances, at the time a record for a
non-musical Broadway play. She was married to drama critic Walter Kerr. Edges
lightly frayed. Otherwise, fine condition.
