Autograph Notes signed: "To Kayo/best wishes/Jean Pierre/Aumont", 4¼x2¾ card with color 1¾x2¾ photograph attached at left (two surfaces). French actor Jean Pierre Aumont (1911-2001) made his first film in 1931, reaching stardom in Jean Cocteau's play The Infernal Machine (1934). He fled France in 1942, made one Hollywood film, and then joined the Free French armed forces, fighting in North Africa, Italy and France and winning his country's highest military honors. He appeared in films on both sides of the Atlantic for the next fifty years. His last two films were Jefferson in Paris (1995) and The Proprietor (1996). Slightly worn at corners. Fine condition.
