Inscribed photograph signed: "To Pamela Notinsom/most sincerely/Jean Pierre/Aumont", in blue ink, B/w 7¼x9½. French actor Jean Pierre Aumont (1911-2001) made his first film in 1931, reaching stardom in Jean Cocteau's play The Infernal Machine (1934). He fled France in 1942, made one Hollywood film, and then joined the Free French armed forces, fighting in North Africa, Italy and France and winning his country's highest military honors. He appeared in films on both sides of the Atlantic for the next fifty years. His last two films were Jefferson in Paris (1995) and The Proprietor (1996). Edges and corners lightly worn. Lightly bowed. Slightly soiled with clear residue (not seen head on). Light surface creases and dents (not seen head on). Otherwise, fine condition.
