actress JEAN SIMMONS (1929-2010),born in Crouch Hill, London,
England, earned critical acclaim in such films as Great Expectations
(1946), Laurence Olivier's Hamlet (as Ophelia, 1948, Best Actress
award at the Venice Film Festival and an Academy Award nomination), Elmer
Gantry (1960) and The Happy Ending (1968, Academy Award
nomination). In all, Simmons was nominated for 6 Golden Globe awards
- winning once for Guys and Dolls
(1956), nominated for 2 Academy Awards and she won an Emmy for The Thorn
Birds (1983). Dark Shadows fans may remember her as Elizabeth Collins
Stoddard, while anime fans may recognize her voice as that of Grandma
Sophie in the English-language version of Howl's Moving Castle
(2004). At the time she signed this document she was married to actor
Stewart Granger (real name James Stewart). Slightly soiled. ¾x1½ clear tape at
