JEFF BRIDGES. Photograph signed: "Jeff Bridges". B/w, 8x10. Publicity still for the 1973 film, The Lolly Madonna War". ©1972, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc. Mimeographed caption on verso: "Jeff Bridges buttons jacket around wounded brother, Ed Lauter, in a tense scene from MGM's 'The Lolly Madonna War'. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's 'The Lolly Madonna War', a tense, contemporary drama set in a small rural community, deals with private hates which suddenly erupt into violence. Rod Steiger, Robert Ryan, Jeff Bridges, and Scott Wilson star in the motion picture produced by Rodney Carr-Smith, directed by Richard C. Sarafian, and filmed on location in the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee. Carr-Smith and Sue Grafton wrote the screenplay." Bridges played Zack Feather in this film. In 1973, he was also seen on the big screen in The Last American Hero and The Iceman Cometh. Jeff Bridges (born in 1949), the son of actor Lloyd and younger brother of Beau, earned Oscar nominations for his performances in The Last Picture Show, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Starman and The Contender. His other films include The Fisher King (1991), The Big Lebowski and Seabiscuit (2003). In addition to his acting achievements, Bridges has also written some 200 songs, a talent that he memorably incorporated in The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989), in which he starred as Jack Baker. Slightly creased and shaded at blank margins and corners, light black mark at upper left corner. Minor surface creases and striations (most not evident head on). Overall, fine condition.
