GRACE SLICK Signed tracing of the talented songwriter's left hand in blue ink Hand Print signed: "Grace/Slick" in blue felt tip, 7½x10. Blue ink tracing of her left hand. Grace Slick (b. 1939), born Grace Barnett Wing, was the lead singer for the rock group Jefferson Airplane (1967-1973) and its successor, Jefferson Starship (1974-1988). She also released four well-received solo albums in between touring and recording with the groups. Although Slick seldom performed after 1990, she published her autobiography, Somebody to Love?: A Rock-and-Roll Memoir, in 1998. Her biggest hits include "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit" (1967), a celebration of drug-taking emblematic of late 1960s counterculture. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
