JEFFREY "HAC-MAN" LEONARD
Trading card signed by one of the players involved in the 1985 Pittsburgh drug trials
Trading/sports card signed: "Jeffrey Leonard", in black ink, 2½x3½. Jeffrey Leonard (b.1955) is an American retired MLB left fielder who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee Brewers and the Seattle Mariners between 1977 and 1990. He was a 2-time All-star (1987 and 1989) and the 1987 National League Championships Most Valuable Player. In that series he had 5 runs, 10 hits, 4 home runs, 5 RBIs, a batting average of .417 and a slugging percentage of .917 in 7 games. Leonard was part of the 1985 Pittsburgh drug trials in which, in exchange for his immunity, he testified to being part of an underground cocaine network. He and 10 other players were suspended from the league for one year; however, their suspensions were waived in exchange for donating 10% of their income to anti-drug programs. The Pittsburg trials are considered one of MLB's largest scandals in the history of the sport. Fine condition.
