Autograph Sentiment Signed: "Best wishes,/Jeffrey Siegel" and, on verso, "L Frémaux", 5½x3¼ album leaf. Names written in pencil (unknown hand) at lower margin. Distinguised American pianist JEFFREY SIEGEL has been a soloist with a number of prestigious orchestras at home and abroad, appearing with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Boston Symphony, the London Symphony, the Moscow State Symphony and the Orchestra of La Scala, to name just a few. The popular series has been released as four audio books featuring the works of such notables as Mozart and Beethoven. Siegel has also collaborated with a number of great conductors, including Eugene Ormandy, Sir George Solti and Yevgengy Svetlanov. French conductor LOUIS FRÉMAUX (born in 1921) was the conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra before being appointed Chief Conductor of the Sydney Symphony (1979-1981), with whom he served as a guest conductor until 1985. Frémaux, a decorated veteran of WWII, had also conducted the Orchestre National de Monte Carlo for a decade, beginning in 1956, and he was Chief Conductor of the Orchestre Philharmonique Rhóne-Alpes in Lyons from 1968-1971. He is also known for his recordings, many featuring French works. Ink slightly smudged at the "r" of Frémaux. Minor show through of writing. Irregular right edge from removal from bound book.
