Autograph letter signed: "Jennifer Holt" in red ink. 2 pages,
5½x7¾. November 15, no year. In full: "How very very nice of you to
send me such a nice card - How ever did you know my birthday?? Dear James, it's
not that I'm busy that I can't autograph a picture - it is, I regret to say that
I haven't any pictures. It's been a very long time since I made pictures &
the "stills" that I have are very few & pasted in my own scrapbook. However
if you will inquire at Monie Star news - 212 E. 14th N.Y. 10003 & ask Paula
Klaw - she will sell you one if she has them. Then please send to me & I
will gladly autograph & send back to you. - I'll send a self address mailing
envelope (can't get them here) plus mailing expenses. U.S. stamps aren't any
good here, so I am returning yours which you so thoughtfully included. I'm sorry
not to be able to oblige you but strange as it may seem - I get quite a few
requests per week & after awhile - it runs into money. Again, I thank you
for remembering me - Very sincerely". Jennifer Holt (1920-1997),
