JENNINGS RANDOLPH (1902-1998), a West Virginia Democrat, served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1933-1947. Defeated for re-election in 1946, he left elective office for a decade, and then returned to national politics to serve in the U.S. Senate (1958-1985). DIRECTLY FROM THE SALE OF THE ESTATE OF DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN. Moynihan (1927-2003) represented New York as a Democrat for four terms (1977-2001). A prolific author, he served in the administrations of four Presidents: Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford. Moynihan chaired the important Senate Finance Committee from 1993-1995. Estate inventory numbers stamped at left margin and written in ink (unknown hand) at upper margin. Pencil note (unknown hand) and ink check mark at upper right. Date stamp on verso (show through at upper margin near letterhead). Fine condition.
