In full: "Thanks for being with me today. I was helped by your forthright approach. We can be very positive side by side. I'm checking on the one case you properly gave me." JENNINGS RANDOLPH (1902-1998), a West Virginia Democrat, served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1933-1947. Defeated for re-election in 1946, he left elective office for a decade, and then returned to national politics to serve in the U.S. Senate (1958-1985). DIRECTLY FROM THE SALE OF THE ESTATE OF DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN. Moynihan (1927-2003) represented New York as a Democrat for four terms (1977-2001). A prolific author, he served in the administrations of four Presidents: Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford. Moynihan chaired the important Senate Finance Committee from 1993-1995.
