First Day Cover signed: "Jeremy R. Anderson", 6½x3¾. FDC honoring Pueblo Indian Pottery, postmarked Santa Fe, New Mexico, April 13, 1977, 13-cent stamp affixed, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Jeremy Radcliffe Anderson (1921-1982) was a painter and - especially - a sculptor, working in wood and bronze and even coconut shell. In the 1970s, he created a series of bronzes depicting the comic antics of a "Mrs. Allfours." He also sculpted large wooden figurines resembling cigar store Indians. Fine condition.
