of paper attached to cardboard of the same size. Jerome K. Jerome (1859-1927)
grew up in poverty, and he worked at several occupations - some of them menial -
before finding success as a writer. His first success was a collection of
humorous essays, Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow (1886). Three
Men in a Boat (1889), a humorous account of a boat journey on the Thames,
was his most popular work, and has been reprinted several times. He
published an autobiography, My Life and Times (1926). Lightly soiled.
