Note dated July 16, 1971. Signature located on 1¾x1 clipped closing. The city of New York Environmental protection administration (Office of the Administrator) New York, letterhead. Letter contents have been clipped and rearranged. Newspaper article on Kretchmer affixed above note, which reads “Mr. Croxford:/ I consider it an honor to be included in your autograph records./ Thank you for your kind letter, and for the copy of the/ July 5 'times' article./ Peace”. Jerome Kretchmer worked as New York City's Environmental Protection Administrator in the 1970s during John Lindsay's administration. Various clippings affixed to 9½x7¾ sheet of paper. Paper to which clippings have been affixed is irregularly cut. Otherwise, fine condition.
