Amateur Championship and playing on the winning American teams in the 1975 Walker Cup and Eisenhower Trophy. He was low amateur at the U. S. Open in 1975, the year he turned pro, and he came back in 1976 to win the U. S. Open as a pro. Pate has since notched 15 professional wins, with a total of eight on the PGA Tour. An award-winning golf course designer, he's worked on over 30 projects including Kiva Dunes and Limestone Springs in Alabama, which have placed in the Top 100 American public golf courses numerous times. He was also a color commentator for ABC, CBS and the BBC in the 1990s. Lightly toned and bowed. Light impressions and scratches on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine condition.
