Mickey at the daily rate of $100, beginning on Sept. 9, 1964. Wayne was
stunt coordinator on Mickey. Wayne, born in 1941, has performed
stunts on over 270 movies and TV shows between 1958 and 1999, including TV
series like The Rifleman (1958-1959), Lassie (1961-1974), The
Virginian (1962-1964), The Steve Allen Playhouse (1962-1964), The
F. B. I. (1965-1974), Batman (1966-1967), Adam-12 (1969-1973),
H. R. Pufnstuf (1969-1970), Gunsmoke (1969-1971),
Emergency! (1972-1974), Banacek (1972-1974), Police Story
(1973-1974), M*A*S*H (1975-1983), Fantasy Island (1978-1979) and
In the Heat of the Night (1990) and the movies Breakfast at
Tiffany's (1961), Hell Is For Heroes (1962), Follow Me, Boys!
(1966), Super Fly (1972), Earthquake (1974), The Front Page
(1974), King Kong (1976), Pete's Dragon (1977), The Black
Stallion (1979), Bronco Billy (1980), Airplane! (1980),
Escape from New York (1981), Splash (1984) and Explorers
(1986). At a compact 5-feet-4-inches, Wayne has been a stunt double for child
actors like Kurt Russell and Harry Dean Stanton and adults like Larry Fine and
Moe Howard of the Three Stooges, Pat Morita, Helen Hayes, Harry Morgan Red
Buttons and William Benedict, among others. Wayne was also a stunt double
for Mel Brooks on Spaceballs (1987) and Life Stinks
(1991) and performed stunts on two other Brooks movies (Young
Frankenstein, 1974 and Silent Movie, 1976), as well as a stunt
double for Mickey Rooney in a total of 11 movies and TV shows between 1960 and
1981 and stunt coordinator on Rooney's TV show Mickey (1964-1965).
Lightly toned, creased and bowed. Carbon copy marks. Red wax binder remnants at
top edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
