N.Y., 1988 August 15. On letterhead of her agent, Don Buchwald and
Associates, she signs a request that AFTRA (the American Federation of
Television and Radio Actors) waive the filing deadline for return of her
Exclusive Agency Contract. Stage, screen and television actress Jessica Walter,
who made her Broadway debut in 1961 in Advise and Consent, began her TV
career in New York-based shows such as Love of Life (1962-1965) and
For the People (1965). She later starred in such series as Amy
Prentiss (1974-1975), for which she won an Emmy Award, Trapper John,
M.D. (1979-1986), for which she was nominated for an Emmy, Dinosaurs
(1991-1994), One Life to Live (1996-1997) and Arrested Development
(2003-2006). She was also Emmy-nominated for a guest-star role on The
Streets of San Francisco. Walter has also made TV movies and guest
starred on a long list of series, from Route 66 (1963) to Touched By
An Angel (2003), including recurring roles on Coach and Jack &
Jill. Walter, who made her film debut in 1964, was nominated for a Golden
Globe for Play Misty for Me (1971). Since 1983, she has been married to
