Originally the lead vocalist for the country music group the Browns, who had a #1 hit, "The Three Bells" (1959), Brown launched a solo career in 1965 which included several country hits over the next decade including the drinking song "Pop a Top", "Southern Loving" and "It's That Time of Night." In 1976, his duet with Helen Cornelius, "I Don't Want to Have to Marry You", went to #1 on the country charts. Since the late 1980s, he has starred at his own Jim Ed Brown Theater near Opryland in Nashville. Fine condition.
