Sports card signed: "Jim Kern" in black ink, 2½x3½. Jim
Kern (b. 1949) is a former MLB pitcher, playing for the Cleveland
Indians, Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia
Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers, and Cleveland Indians from 1974 to 1986. Kern
signed to the Cleveland Indians straight out of high school and played
with them for a number of years before being traded to the Texas Rangers. He
did well with the Rangers, having career highs during his time with them,
but was later injured which limited his plays. After his injuries and several
other complications, Kern was traded several times and received little play,
retiring in 1986. He finished his career as a 3 time All-Star with a
record of 53-57, earned run average of 3.32, and 651 strikeouts. Edges and
corners slightly worn. Fine condition.
