JIM KIICK and RON LEWIS
He signs a numbered, limited edition poster commemorating the 25th anniversary of the
perfect season of the Miami Dolphins. Sports artist Ron Lewis has also signed.
Poster signed: "Jim Kiick/#21". Color, 20x26. Also signed by the artist, "Ron Lewis". Poster
titled "The Perfect Season", commemorating the Miami Dolphins' 17-0 season of 1972.
Head coach Don Shula, and six star players, including Kiick of course, are pictured. The others
are Bob Griese, Larry Csonka, Mercury Morris, Paul Warfield and Garo Yepremian. Limited
edition signed poster #305 of 1972. Running back JIM KIICK (1946-2020) starred in the
backfield of the Miami Dolphins from 1968 through 1974. Kiick played in three Super
Bowls for the franchise, and is the team's third all-time leading rusher. Kiick and fellow
running back Larry Csonka garnered the nickname "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."
Along with Csonka and another running back, Mercury Morris, he shocked the sports world
by leaving the Dolphins for the World Football League in 1975, a league which folded before
completing the season. He returned to the NFL for short stints with the Broncos and
Redskins before retiring in 1977. The 1972 Miami Dolphins remain the only NFL team to
complete the regular and postseason undefeated. Nationally known artist RON LEWIS
has been making sports art, especially lithographs, since 1983. Surface creases. Corners and
edges lightly creased. Faint printing defects in some areas. Otherwise, fine condition.
