Newspaper Photograph signed: "Jim Schoenfeld" in blue felt tip, 4x4. James Grant
Schoenfeld (b. 1952) is a retired professional ice hockey player. After a junior career with the
London Knights, Hamilton Red Wings, and Niagara Falls Flyers, he was drafted by the
Buffalo Sabres and would go on to play a total of eleven seasons with that team
(1972-1982, 1983-1984). He also played for the Detroit Red Wings (1981-1983) and
Boston Bruins (1983-1984). After retirement, he served as the head coach of several NHL
teams including the Sabres, New Jersey Devils, Washington Capitals, and Phoenix
Coyotes. He then became the assistant general manager for the New York Rangers, also
serving as an interim assistant coach for the team. Moreover, Schoenfeld served as general
manager of the Hartford Wolf Pack. Mounted onto cardboard. Edges irregular. Corners
rounded. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
