RODGERS, born James Frederick Rodgers in Camas, Washington in 1933, was a country singer, but don't tell that to the rock fans that bought his albums in the 1950s. Rodgers combined a high, sweet voice, good beats, and rock-influenced arrangements with more traditional country elements like and acoustic guitar and updates of folk songs to land Top 10 hits on the Pop Singles charts almost as often as the Country Singles charts. Between 1955 and 1966, he had a total of eight Top 10 singles, which were often on the Country Singles and Pop Singles Charts and even the Black Singles and Adult Contemporary charts in a single year: Honeycomb (1957, No. 1 on both the Black Singles and Pop Singles charts and No. 7 on the Country Singles charts), Kisses Sweeter Than Wine (1957), Make Me a Miracle (1958), Oh-Oh, I'm Falling In Love Again (1958), Secretly (1958) and It's Over (1966). Estonian-born actor TRIESAULT (1902-1980) had few starring roles, but you've probably seen him in his 120 movies and TV shows between 1942 and 1969, most often playing a foreign villain. One of his recurring roles was as Maurice Toulouse in The Adventures of Jim Bowie (1956-1957). Triesault got his acting start on the Estonian stage when he was 14. In addition to his TV and movie work, he often appeared as a mime and dancer on Radio City Music Hall and as a stage actor. Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Show-through touches signatures. Llewellen and Triesault signatures touch. Light chips from right edge. Left edge is discolored on Rodgers' side. Neatly torn from binding at left edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
