Inscribed photograph signed: "To Clint,/What a great day/this
was./Love,/Jimmy/Caesar" in blue ink. 4½x3½. Jimmy Caesar (1935-1998)
was a celebrity impersonator and entertainer. He was 16 years old when he made his first
appearance at the Bingo Club in Las Vegas. Caesar, who also was a singer,
would later play other Strip hotel-casinos, including the MGM Grand, the Sahara
and the Dunes. He opened for Milton Berle, Norm Crosby and Bob Hope.
Caesar's impersonations led him across the country, working clubs and showrooms
while opening for some of the best in entertainment. Stan Laurel, Boris
Karloff and John Wayne were among his long list of his comedic repertoire.
